An introduction to Funeral Service Training Course

The Introduction to Funeral Service course will give you a thorough overview of what’s involved in being a funeral director.

You’ll get a general grounding on what’s involved and what is expected of you, giving you all the information you need to decide whether a career as a funeral director is something you would enjoy. 

Some people decide to move into the funeral business as they are attracted by the generally good pay and working conditions only to realise after a short while that it’s really not the career for them. Our course will give you complete understanding of what a funeral director does and will allow you to make the right decision as to whether you are suited to it or not.

We’ll take you through the history of the profession from the start right up to the current day. You’ll see how things have changed and get a good idea of why the profession works the way it does.

You’ll be taken through the procedures involved at every stage in the process, from the point when someone dies, how the person is transported from their place of passing to the funeral home, how to deal with a grieving family, how to prepare and present the person and how the funeral day unfolds. 

Completing this course will show potential employers that you have the willingness to invest your own time and money in finding out what’s involved in this career, which may well give you an advantage when applying for a position with an employer.

The course last one day and takes place at our premises in Bonnnybridge. You will receive a British Institute of Funeral Directors Certificate of Attendance.

One day course. Course cost: £250 inc. VAT. Lunch will be supplied.

The course is open to anyone. There are no height restrictions but working in the funeral industry  suits people who are generally fit as some lifting will be involved.
